How good is turkey hunting in the evening? I like to turkey hunt in the morning and it is really good. I have heard that it is not as good in the evening. Do they still like to call back to a hen call and come toward it in the evening?
What are your strategies for fall turkey hunting? From articles I've read, spring calls don't work very well. I do know a spot where they move through, just not sure of their timing, it's never the same each day, but the location is pretty reliable. Unfortunately, that spot is on adjoining property where I hunt. I see them a lot, but my question is this; Is there a way to lure them across the fence for a good ol' 20 gauge salute?
Would military camo be okay for turkey hunting? I figure the pattern would be fine, but I've read turkies can see into the ultra-violet...do you think military camo would any more or less obvious than regular camo? I'm thinking about buying a set of the digital camo for spring turkey season.

Does anyone know any good turkey hunting spots in or around the Sacramento area.? I have not had time to do any scouting this year . Renderman: I know all the turkey populations and the dfg website, I am looking for spots that are plentiful that others may know about that they might want to share, public or private. The anti hunting answers don't phase me in the least, they can not help themselves. My 2 year old is more mature. They have a mental illness and need to be treated. Chris S: I know what you mean about California. It is my home. The rural counties are a lot more leanient with restrictions, (shipping in and out of the state, ammo sales, handgun regs, concealed carry, etc) At least it's not New Jersey or Massachussetts, they are unconstitutional nazi states and soon you will not be able to own guns there peroid. Chase: Check your facts before you post. You have no idea what your talking about. Man: I had some real retards answer this question
Spring turkey hunting, turkey wing question? During spring turkey hunting, some hunters use a turkey wing on a string, why do they do this and at what times is it appropriate to use this item and what calls go with it. Last but definitely not least HOW DO YOU MAKE ONE?

Best broadhead for turkey hunting? I'm going to try it this year. Missed one last year, but I was wondering if the expandable ones or the fixed blade ones would work the best. Also, do people use that small game pronged thingie as well? NOT interested in the gobbler guillotine. I've watched the infomercials and such, but the price is ridiculous.
Turkey hunting in the snow? Up here in Kootenai County Idaho we are having ourselves a record winter. We have a snow still measured in feet at anything over 3000 feet still and it is also dropping well below freezing at night. (Can't get much lower than 2200 feet here.) Turkey season opened last week and I am having a bit of trouble getting the birds to act like they normally do in the spring. They are quieter and seem to be roosting more. Is there anyone experienced in Turkey hunting in winter like conditions? I have never had to hunt the birds in heavy snow.
