Hog Hunting Great Danes?

I know this is not much of a liking for some people but please repsect me as I respect your believing. As that is what this breed was bred for.

I want to know if some one knows of a breeder or some one that is using Great Danes for Hog Hunting, I will appreciate very much any input on finding a hunting Great Danes, I would like to use them for Hog Hunting.
Thankyou

1. Are you sure they were bred for hogs? The Danes have long legs to go after stags, not pigs. A pig could severely injure a Great Dane if it's got tusks and comes in low after the dog.

2. Nope. I don't believe in being cruel to pigs.

3. Here is a website of Great Danes. I hope you find one you like!

4. Have you looked at AB's or Dogos? You will have an easier time finding working stock in those breeds.

5. This question reminded me of a client at work who purchased working Danes and didn't realize what they do. He took them to his farm where they immediately jumped out of the truck and chased and took down his $20,000 stud horse.
The man had to euthanize his stud and he euthanized both dogs the same day. He should have researched what a working Dane was. Poor things....all because the man wanted big dogs and didn't pay attention.

6. Great Danes were bred to hunt wild boar. They are also known as boar hounds. I know some people still use Danes (usually Dane crosses) to hunt pigs/hogs but I don't know any breeders.
