Hunting Bobcats?
A good animal friend of mine was recently maliciously murdered by a bobcat. I've done plenty of hunting throughout my life, especially on hogs, yet I've never considered hunting bobcats. I plan to hunt down this murdering cat and do much worse to him. I was wondering about what would be the best methods of finding or hunting him?? Do they tend to roam far off from their hunting territory??What would be the best way to draw or call one into my sights?? Thanks.

1. Bobcats are nocturnal. You want to hunt at night preferably with a full or nearly full moon. Use a predator call which can be bought at Wall - Mart or for a better one Cabela's. Use the call to get him coming to you. When he is within 50 yards or so use a mouse squeak to get him in closer. You may also try trapping it. Using a 220 conabear or a larger foot trap. Check with your local hunting shop they may be able to help with a trap set. The problem is that bobcats are picky and spooked easily. Bobcat is one of the hardest animals I have ever tried to trap. Be careful most states have specific seasons for bobcat. Poaching fines can be pretty hefty.
2. I doubt very seriously a bobcat murdered your friend (maybe a mountain lion)
bobcats are so scared of humans I have only seen one in the wild 1 time, I have seen mountain lions on 3 occasions
Unless your friend had it cornered or was attempting to capture it by hand it is very doubtful this is true.
