Ok. this is the first year i could actually pull my compound bow back. (im 14) i want to go bow hunting (doubtful this year probably next) What are some good tips for practicing? Also any other tips would be appreciated. Thanx I would NEVER kill an animal for the sake of killing. I have been hunting before just not with a bow. I go muzzeloader and rifle. Also i started dove hunting this year. Also i thought i would this will be my 3rd year hunting. i turn 15 in a couple weeks.

turkey season starts may 1 and i need some tips and info. Is it ok to wear bug spray while turkey hunting? do i need special camoflague or will military camo (woodland pattern) work fine? how do i wse a mouth call? is face paint ok or should i get a net to cover my face? as for the box call how do i use it properly? can anyone give me instructions or a link to a movie showing me how?

We all have heard about Micheal Vick, and pleaing guilty to dogfighting charges. My question is if killing dogs is inhumane then why are laws not the same for deer hunting? I have seen in houses people hanging the heads of deers that they have killed. Is that not inhumane, or is killing deers perfectly fine, but killing dogs is inhumane and illegal?

Why is it okay to hunt the poor innocent deer and other animals and eat them for dinner but there is such a big deal about this dog fighting. Why is deer hunting looked at as a sport but dog fighting is a crime punishable with prison time? Is it possible that because the majority of hunters are caucasion and the people who have dog fights are minorities. They have trophies for animal hunters and some people even hand the deer heads in their living rooms. I think both are wrong and if Michael Vick has to do jail time for gog fighting, hunters should also do jail time because both are cruelty to animals.

I just started my first season hunting pheasant with one partner. We dont have have a dog, so we have been trying on foot. I was wondering if its even worth it and how we improve our hunt, what type of areas do pheasant usually hide in.

So this guy is in Rhode Island hunting for geese. He catches one and puts it in his bag with the other geese. Just as he closes the bag, a Hunting Inspector walks up. "Sir, can I please see that bag?" he asks. "Sure," says the hunter and hands the bag over. The Inspector looks through the bag, pulls out one goose, and sticks his finger up its a!!ss. He pulls it out, smells it and says, "This here's a Virginia goose, do you have a Virginia Hunting License?" The hunter looks through his wallet and pulls out it and shows it to the inspector. The inspector nods and sticks his hand in the bag and pulls out another goose. He sticks his finger up it's a!!ss and says, "This here's a Maine goose, do you have a Maine Hunting License?" The hunter looks again through his wallet, pulls out the card, and shows it to the inspector. He nods again, and pulls out the last goose. He does the routine and says, "This here is a Rhode Island goose, do you have a Rhode Island Hunting License?" The hunter fishes through his wallet, shows the card to the inspector and puts it back in. "Boy," you having all these licenses, where you from?" asks the Inspector. The hunter pulls down his pants and asks, "Why don't you find out?"

I am trying to find some new places to go duck hunting int eh outagamie, calumet, and winnebago counties. I am looking for public/private land to hunt. Anyone who knows any places that produce well let me know it would be greatly appreciated

Is any one else fed up with the fox hunting fraternity claiming they only go fox hunting to protect and preserve the countryside? Why can't they just admit they like killing animals. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it's a perfectly natural human instinct to hunt. OK it's better if the animal hunted is edible, such as deer, but that's no reason to ban it. Just be honest, and I'm sure most people would support you.

I booked a fully guided bowhunt on the Cross Mountain Ranch in northwest Colorado. It will be archery only in the middle of September. Has anyone ever hunted on this ranch? I trying to convince someone to get a dog. they like hunting so i'm telling them that it would be good to have a hunting dog. does having a hunting dog get you more game, or does it just make it less harder to get the game and bring it in and everything? if you having any web sites that show the difference or woulod help convince them to get a hunting dog will you please show them to me. hunting ducks. and it doesn't matter what type of dog. and i agree that when hunting deer that would be a hard smell to get rid of, so the dog would not be used ever for deer hunting.

I've been looking around, but it seems the only feral hog hunting I can find in Texas is guided. I'm not interested in paying someone to hunt on their land as Texas is host to a vast ammount of public hunting land. It would be great if someone could help direct me to some decent public hunting grounds for feral hogs.
