deer hunting?!?!?!?!?
so im goin deer hunting when the season opens up for general guns. But im completly new to it, i normally fish. so can u give me tips on where to shot and all that good stuff.

1. Do you mean where to shoot as in on the animal or where like a place?
If your talking about on the animal aim for where the shoulder is because behind that is where all of the critical organs are and it will give you a quick clean kill.
2. watch out for rednecks and don't go alone

3. The bullet goes pointy end first. Shoot the deer in the front half. Broad side shots are best. Never take a 'Texas Heart' (from directly behind) shot. If the animal is quartered away from you, aim through the chest, at the far leg.
Basically you are hoping to hit both lungs, and maybe hit the heart. Others will say a brain shot, or a neck shot. You are too inexperienced to risk wounding an animal on an expert shot.
Remember: Be sure of your target, and what is beyond. Your round will travel a long distance before it comes to rest. Even after traveling through your monster buck.
