1. As far as the different regulations for MN, I do not know, so your best bet would be to go to a local sporting goods store and ask them what the regs are as far as season, how much the license is, etc. I would say to buy a video or a book about turkey hunting. It would have all the info you would need to know starting out. No matter how much you go though, only experience will help you out as far as getting better at it...knowing where to go, how to call. From reading up on it you will be able to know what kind of gun to use, the camo, and all of that stuff. Good luck.
2. one think you can do, is check with state agencies about regulations on turkey hunting(ex: down here in Texas we have the Texas Parks and Wildlife). As far as equipment and advice, I would say your best bet is to read up in magazines and books.
3. I don't know about the site But anything you could possibly want to know about Turkey Hunting (other than state rules and reg's) Can be found out in National Wild Turkey Federation(? Foundation?) I know it in NWTF
4. The oudoor channel is good. Most stated require a beginners safety course for first time hunters to get a license so check with the Dept of Natural Resources in your phone book
5. Most states and clubs offer seminars on how to. It's a great way to learn and if you have questions you can ask the experienced person directly. I find most videos concentrate on hunting more than teaching but there are a few that have really good pointers, read the back cover the ones that are about teaching will say so in the description.
